About Us
Wendy Silveira is the Founder of The Worthy Maven.

She is a 57-year-old woman who intimately understands the perplexing new chapter you are experiencing in your life, including all the challenges, questions, insecurities, changes, and growth.
She decided to launch The Worthy Maven because women need each other to navigate the powerful and often misunderstood journey of menopause.
With her blend of experience, wisdom, and heart, Wendy’s mission is to redefine aging for women everywhere, encouraging them to embrace this new phase of life with strength, grace, and unshakable confidence.
Throughout her life, Wendy has relentlessly sought to make the world a little brighter!
She wants to show women that the best chapters are still ahead of them and that aging is something to celebrate, not fear!
A passion for social change, empowerment, and personal transformation has driven Wendy’s life journey.
In the late 1980s, she was a dedicated AIDS activist in San Francisco, volunteering for Stop AIDS and working for the Immune Enhancement Project. It was during this time that she learned that style and beauty are inside jobs, and that those qualities come from within and are expressed outward. She saw that even people in the most seemingly impossible situations were able to exhibit grace and beauty and shine at their most brilliant.
Later, Wendy became a caseworker for the working poor while raising her children as a single mother.
After raising her kids, Wendy embraced the role of a Change Agent, as a facilitator with “Changing the Narrative,” an organization focused on shifting societal narratives and challenging stereotypes around aging.
During this time, she also ventured into small business ownership, opening a vintage consignment shop that catered to all ages. She learned she was able to help women, through style and fashion, see themselves with fresh eyes and realize and understand their capacity for profound change.
Now, Wendy is stepping into a new chapter, helping women navigate the powerful and often misunderstood journey of menopause. And equally important, she is committed to building a loving community for meaningful connection between all women wherever they may be in their journey.
Wendy’s story is a testament to resilience, reinvention, and the steadfast belief that no matter where we are in life, we have the power to change ourselves, shine our brightest—and in doing so, change the world.
